A Letter From Our Administrator: April 2024
Welcome to Our Facility
We are committed to a culture of safety in our facility, which includes the nursing staff, administrative offices and environmental services department. Our Infection Preventionist would like to share with you some valuable information regarding the prevention and spread of infection amongst our residents that was implemented regarding the Enhanced Barrier Precaution (EBP).
You will notice that our staff may be wearing Personal Protective Equipment or PPE, such as gloves and gowns during patient care for your loved ones, this will include bathing dressing, toileting, transfers, changing linen, etc. You will also notice an Enhanced Barrier Precaution signs on some of the doors in the facility. This will be to alert everyone entering that particular room or area of this precaution.
This is in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendation for certain standards of patient care and services and to also serve as a commitment to protecting your loved ones against the transmission of germs and infection.
Our staff takes care of many residents, and like honey bees, if we are not careful, can transmit germs from patient to patient. And just as honey bees pollinate flowers in a field, we do not want to be the honey bees.
We continue to strive for the safe, effective and competent care when providing for your loved ones by wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent the transmission of germs and infections.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Infection Preventionist/ADON-Christiana Charles
Thank you!
