Community Update From Our Administrator: May 2022
To Our Community,
Just two years ago I joined Hamlin Place, a private not-for-profit nursing and rehabilitation center as the Administrator. That was the very beginning of a long two-year journey through the many challenges of managing a health care team and our residents through the uncertainty and challenges of a pandemic that threatened our world and certainly the care and safety of us all. I am happy to say better days are finally here.
I wish to thank our family members who trusted us and supported our judgement, compassion and diligence throughout this time with Covid-19. Our Team of dedicated caretakers and support staff also deserve high praise for always putting the care of others before themselves and their families. Thanks to this wonderful group of individuals Hamlin Place maintained an “Agency-Free” facility during the greatest staffing crisis in modern history, with the highest ratio of staff to patient care in the surrounding area. Our Certified Nursing Assistants cared for seven residents per shift when other Nursing Homes could assign as many as 20 Residents per C.N.A. per shift. Our nurses also attended to smaller assignments that encouraged stellar clinical oversight and quality care. I want to thank the owner and our operations Manager for providing us with every available resource that we needed to provide the best protection and environment possible for our residents and staff. This focus on quality and reasonable staffing brought us safely through the most harrowing health care crisis in modern history.
We are grateful that our residents can now get back to normal and enjoy our fine dining and stimulating activities and those cherished visits with family and friends. We welcome you to our community and look forward to seeing you soon.
